    I live about 30 miles from Crowley. The funny thing is the reaction that I get when I take my Reso to Cajun jam sessions.


    People are fascinated by it and act like it's a real odditiy. But apparently, they were pretty common "Back In The Day".

  • Hey update here I found it again. Here's the info.


    Musicians in Cajun band contest, National Rice Festival, Crowley, Louisiana. Most of the music was of the folk variety accompanied by singing." 1938. Shown are musicians playing violin and steel guitar.

  • Oh man one of the only times I didn't cut and paste from site. If I recall it was a cajun dance. Just like a good ole get together sort of thing or like a festival dance sort of thing. Glad you liked it. I triedd to find it again but wasn't able to. I just searched out key words related to reso's etc and hope to get lucky. Iguess I'll have to be more particular, as I said glad you liked it.
